Description

The Gynecologic Bleeding Disorders eModule was developed by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine in collaboration with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The eModule lists the principal causes of abnormal uterine bleeding and the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) classification system. The material describes how to perform initial laboratory and diagnostic tests to evaluate and determine the cause of abnormal uterine bleeding. The unit also covers how to

  • investigate the etiology of abnormal uterine bleeding
  • identify treatments of abnormal uterine bleeding using nonsurgical and surgical methods
  • describe the psychosocial impact of abnormal uterine bleeding and effective interventions
  • recommend appropriate follow-up that is necessary for a patient with abnormal uterine bleeding

Physicians can purchase and download the eModule directly to their laptops or desktop computers and receive CME credit.
